It must be getting close to Easter because I've got a whole house full of pastel stoves just clamoring for attention!!
A blue 61C just joined my stove flock, to go with Miss Smint (green) and Miss Daisy (yellow).
Did anyone see a large white rabbit, possibly named "Harvey," go by? I think he's coming to take me away...

Well, I should have typed that she had (almost) arrived. I just bought her! I'll be picking her up this week sometime, and then I'll have to get back to you on the favorite color question!
I've just about given up on poor Daisy, though. After watching for 5 months now, I haven't made any progress on getting her any new clothes (panels). I do have a lead on a yellow beat-all-to-pieces stove that I may try to buy for a few bucks. The seller seems greedy though, for such a crummy and stripped down stove. We'll see...

The one with the most stoves wins! I think you need to get a red one next.

OK, I am ready to admit it. I just bought a blue C too!!!
I'll name it Bluebird. My mother says it looks like it came straight out of a cartoon!
I found it on Palo Alto (CA) Cragslist for 195-
No pots, but has a lid. I am using StrongMan Shipping who was the first to respond to my UShip price quote. (Wow, that is a cool deal - you say you have a price you don't want to exceed and you agree to commit to the first one to meet it - and whamo you're in business.) The guy sounds great. it will get picked up tomorrow and will get here in a few weeks.
Now, this yellow stove - can't it be re-porcelained? (even if it is a different color?) Or can't you just get different color panels and put them on? - seems better than a parts stove's fate anyway.
Yeah for BLUE stoves!!!

Now there are at least 3 blue stove owners on this site!!! Yeah. We'll have to compare notes on the color when they arrive.
Once again, I'll be making the 6.5 hour drive down to the Big Apple region, and then back. This is becoming a bad habit.
I may have found a parts stove (yes, I am nuts) to salvage a yellow front panel from. Haven't quite worked that one out yet with the potential seller, but it's in Brooklyn, so I could pick up both stoves on the same trip. We'll see.

Chipper,
You're in stove heaven! Where are you keeping all your babies? Right now I have one in my kitchen and my other baby in the dining room waiting for my kitchen makeover, than the kitchen one become a parts stove.

Nah. The red and black just don't call to me. Honestly, when I started looking at these stoves, all I wanted was a white highback C! Now look what happened.
The blue and green stoves will eventually both go in my kitchen. The yellow stove's fate is still up in the air. It may be a parts stove, sad as that seems to me. On the other hand, maybe I'll find some panels yet, and then I'll fix it up. It might go in our future maple sugar shanty.

sure. that's what we all say. it's temporary, it's just one more...no, this one really is different....it's only a spare...it was going to be trashed...well, chipper, welcome to collecting ! but the real question is this: can you take all your spare parts, scale them down and create a camping stove ???
